Completion Certificate for the A16 Rotterdam

Since 2018, Rijkswaterstaat and consortium De Groene Boog, including EPICo, have been working on the delivery of a new motorway north of Rotterdam: the A16 Rotterdam. This 11-kilometre motorway includes 25 new structures and a 2.2-kilometre tunnel. On 1 April, the Completion Certificate was received. This means that the construction phase has been completed and the operational phase will begin.
The A16 Rotterdam is the best-integrated motorway in the Netherlands, fully energy-neutral. The result was delivered safely, sustainably and to a high quality standard, with due consideration for the surrounding environment: a solid foundation has now been laid for this new connection, and for the years of maintenance ahead. Commissioned by Rijkswaterstaat, construction consortium De Groene Boog consisting of Dura Vermeer, Mobilis TBI, Croonwolter & Dros, Besix NL, Van Oord, Rebel, EPICo and John Laing was responsible for the design, construction, financing and will be for the 20-year maintenance of the A16 Rotterdam.
